All of our various cocoa and shea butter based body butters are infused with grapeseed oil with a hint of fragrance and some with essential oils. Cocoa butter & shea butter are great moisturizers and just wonderful for the skin. They are great for dry skin, eczema, dermatitis, and for reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Cocoa butter contains antioxidants such as vitamin E and flavonoids. Antioxidants are great for your skin as they help to destroy free radicals that attacks healthy cells. Free radicals are all around us and comes from pollution, poison, fried foods, smoking and many others. These free radicals are caused by oxidation a process involved with respiration, chemical reactions, metabolism, digestion, energy production, and consumption. These are the many ways that free radicals enter our body and contribute to the cause of degenerative diseases. Which is why we are encouraged to eat fruits and vegetables that are high in antioxidants and nuts which contains phytonutrients to help fight free radicals though their daily consumption. Cocoa butter & shea butter, grapeseed oils all which contain antioxants helps to protect and reduce the damage to your skin caused by free radicals on a cellular level. The duo use of the cocoa and shea butter also helps to improve the elasticity of the skin. Shea butter is also naturally rich in Vitamins A & F. Both shea & cocoa butter helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and blemishes. They are great for soothing irritated and itchy skin.
Another healthy ingredient in our body butters is grapeseed oil! Grapeseed oil is also great for moisturizing the skin and also contains antioxidants! It has anti-inflammatory properties, and also helps to aid in the defense of those free radicals. It helps the skin with the production of collagen which is used to connect the skin cells thus also aiding with improving the skins elasticity.
So as you can see there are many reasons to use natural skin care products! Not only do you avoid products that contain unhealthy additives, but you are using products that nourish the skin! When you put any time of products on your skin it’s as if the skin drinks it as it is absorbed on a cellular level and thus enters your capillaries into your blood stream. So think about the type of skin care and it’s ingredients that you may have used over the years. Maybe you never thought of skin care products that way. Hmmmm makes you think! But don’t fear it’s not to late to change, it’s like changing your eating habits, there is still time to make a change and do something good for your skin!
